If you've found your way here, something in your life has probably shifted. Someone you love may be dying. You may be saying goodbye to an animal who has been your family for years. You may be grieving quietly, and wondering if anyone can tell. Or you may simply be someone who thinks about these things and has never known where to put them.
However you arrived, you're welcome here. There's nothing to brace for.
Soft Landing is my answer to a question I kept meeting in my years of care work: who stays? Who sits with people when the busy part is done and the room goes quiet? I built this practice so the answer could be simple. Someone does. I do.
What you'll find here
These letters are where I think out loud about living, dying, remembering and grieving. I'll write about what an end-of-life doula actually does, how to know when it's time to say goodbye to an animal, why we keep the things we keep, and what grief is really like (a country you didn't choose to move to).
- Read a letter whenever you need one
- Download a free guide and tuck it away until the day it helps
- Ask Softly, the little automated helper in the corner, how anything works
- Book a free conversation when you're ready, whether that's today or in five years
There are two free guides waiting for you as well: one for families nearing a person's goodbye, and one for the days before an animal's. Take them, share them, pass them on.
A standing invitation
Nothing on this website is a commitment. If you ever want to talk, the first conversation is free, twenty minutes, by phone or video, with no pressure to go any further. You'll find it on the contact page.
I'm glad this place exists now. More than that, I'm glad you found it.
